| The Twelfth Annual
KROC World Brewers Forum™ was unbelievable.
The speakers at the event were John Palmer, author of the Brewers Publications
"How To Brew" , who shared his
knowledge of making quality beer at home. Our headline
speaker was Sam Calagione, author of
"Extreme
Brewing",
and owner of the Dogfish Head Brewery. His
talk was very colorful and he mentioned that he
really liked Mike Rotert's Imperial IPA. The theme this year was "The Dirty Dozen, - a
dozen years of brewing excellence." KROC's
brewers work hard to produce some of the finest
home-brewed beer ever served. There
were 12 different homebrews on tap, all named
after the cast characters of the movie, "The
Dirty Dozen" honoring 12 years of the World
Brewers Forum.
A portion of the proceeds from the event went to the Barry
Anderson Family. KROC was able to donate
$1175 setting a donation record, surpassing the
previous year's donation by over $400!
Barry is a home brewer and member KROC who
was involved in a serious skiing accident at the
Eldora Ski Area on March 5th, 2006.
With RSVP, admission to the event is free,
including beer, food and arm loads of great giveaways.
