Welcome to the KROC™ Web Site

The Intranet Home of the Keg Ran Out Club™, a local homebrew club based in Broomfield, Colorado, a Northwest suburb of Denver.

We meet at 7pm on the 3rd Thursday of every month to sample each other's beer, barleywine, mead and whatever else you can think of to brew and talk about all things beer.

We also travel or (kruise) occasionally to local establishments to sample the food and brew, and generally have a rip-roaring good time. And about every other month or so, a member holds a brew-in, where you're welcome to come and brew beer or just come to be social, hang out and drink beer. Everyone has a great time and there's always excellent food!

Feel free to browse and explore the website.  If you'd like to see what the club's been up to, check out the Newsletter, published monthly.  As a KROC™ member (KROCHeads™), you can sign in and gain access to the member-only areas.

What's NEW !!

The KROC Campout is less than two months away.  Those who haven't paid for either their site, food or both must pay the remaining balance by the July KROC Meeting - July 16th.  This is crucial so the club campout committee can make plans and has the necessary funds to purchase food.  Be aware that in addition to paying for your site and food, there is a daily parking fee of $6 per day paid upon arrival to the Ranger's Station.  So plan for an additional $12.

All campsites have been filled, however, campers, please consider sharing your site with another member who may want to camp and you can split the cost of your site with them as well as providing an opportunity for them to camp.

Our Next Meeting is back at Beer at Home with Chris Kennedy giving a presentation on "Balance with Beer." We will also talk a little bit about the campout and some preliminary ideas about the WBF.  Please plan to attend.

THE 14TH ANNUAL WBF™ Again A SUCCESS!!!

The Keg Ran Out Club™ sponsors and organizes the world-famous World Brewers Forum™, an educational seminar held annually during the Great American Beer Festival, "the" Thursday night event to attend.

The 14th Annual World Brewer's Forum (WBF) themed "Taking Brewing To New Heights," was held Thursday, Oct. 9th, 2008 at the Marriott City Center Hotel, 1701 California St.  8pm - Midnight.

Speakers this year were Steve Presley, Senior Assistant Brewmaster for Anheuser-Busch, Greg Koch, CEO & Co-Founder of Stone Brewing Company and Tony Simmons, President and Head Brewer of Pagosa Brewing Company, Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Another GREAT WBF!  Thanks to everyone who participated.  A portion of the proceeds will go to The Children's Hospital in Denver.
